Problema:
All’avvio Microsoft Outlook 2007 continua a chiedere la password per poter connettersi ad Exchange Server 2007.
Soluzione:
Installare, tramite Microsoft Update, l’update rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 SP1. 
PS: Se Exchange 2007 gira sotto Small Business Server 2008 basta procedere all’approvazione per l’installazione dell’update rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 SP1 dalla console degli aggiornamenti.

Status: offline This is a very common question in the last month for SBS 2008 users. It is resolved by approving rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 in Updates.
Another option would be to install Exchange 2007 Sp2 as the wrapper for installation on SBS 2008 is now available.

La configurazione precisa della sorgente ora di riferimento in ambiente windows è sempre stata un problema. Dopo questa ovvia precisazione mi sento in dovere (mi capita oramai una volta al giorno) di scrivere due righe a tal proposito tanto per risparmiarvi(mi) tempo la prossima volta (cioè domani). 
PS: Le 2 righe sotto sono da digitare (non fare copia incolla… c’e’ il salto riga).
w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:”0.pool.ntp.org 1.pool.ntp.org 2.pool.ntp.org 3.pool.ntp.org” /syncfromflags:manual /reliable:yes /update
net stop w32time && net start w32time
PS: Visto che la virtualizzazione và di moda, penso che queste due righe risolveranno parecchi fastidi…

Problema: Dopo aver installato su di un server Intel (dotato di controller RAID Intel/LSI) il software di controllo sotto Windows (nel mio caso Windows 2008 Standard Server) non si riesce ad entrare nella console di gestione in nessuna maniera in quanto appare sempre il seguente messaggio: “Please select a host from the list”.
Soluzione: Disabilitare tutte le schede di rete, esclusa la principale a cui deve essere applicato un IP Statico (come dovrebbe essere la norma in un controller di dominio). Fare un primo accesso all’ Intel RAID Web Console 2 attraverso l’IP Statico della scheda di rete principale, quindi uscire dalla console e riattivare tutte le schede di rete. Al successivo accesso il console appare magicamente nella lista….

Quando si tenta di eseguire un backup su un hard disk esterno USB viene presentato il seguente errore: Acronis True Image error E000101F4 and Failed to read from the sector xx of the hard disk yy.
Ambiente Operativo: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 o Microsoft Windows SBS 2008 con Acronis True Image SBS version
Soluzione: Richiedere al supporto Acronis l’aggiornamento per la libreria “snapapi” che dovrebbe risolvere ogni problema relativo alla gestione dei dischi esterni USB su sistemi operativi Vista e Server 2008.

Error Message: The Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) encountered an error attempting to look up the built in IIS_IUSRS group. There may be problems in viewing and setting security permissions with the IIS_IUSRS group. This happens if the machine has been joined and promoted to be a Domain Controller in a legacy domain. Please see the online help for more information and solutions to this problem. The data field contains the error number.
A problem occurs when a Windows Server 2008 computer that hosts IIS 7.0 becomes a domain controller (DC) of a non-Windows Server 2008 domain (that is, a DC of a Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 domain). When the DC promotion occurs, the new Windows Server 2008 built-in accounts are no longer available to IIS 7.0. Any Access Control List (ACL) that uses the built-in accounts will not be able to resolve to a friendly name, but will instead show their raw SID (Security Identifier) values.
